So I got an e-mail from Zazzle telling me that the calendar I created - for my own personal use - is in violation of their terms because the image used may be copyrighted and my order has been cancelled.
I wrote back that the image is an original portrait of a public figure and I will not be profiting from it, so I don't see the violation. No response yet.
If they still say I can't have it I'm going to try to contact RLC herself (or at least her people) and attempt to get permission to use her likeness.
On a slightly odder note, the other day I installed a counter here at Threshold. I didn't make it visible on the site, but it keeps track of how many hits I get in a day, how many and which pages visitors view, and, if they were referred here by a search, I can see which search engine they used and even what search terms they entered.
Here's the odd thing. In the past two days I've had 11 people come here following a referring link from Yahoo! where they had searched for Bikini Cavegirl.
The link leads them to this entry in which I refer to having watched the movie by that title.
The thing is...11 people searching on Bikini Cavegirl and coming to my site? That seems statistically unlikely.
After all, I'm probably getting only a small percentage of the people who perform such a search, so that means that there are even more people entering that search term into Yahoo!
I just find that extremely odd, and worth mentioning.
Who are all of these people curious about Bikini Cavegirl?
