Odin was done via my more traditional method, which is to say I drew him primarily in Photoshop.
I did the (very) rough sketch in Illustrator, brought it into Photoshop and added the details and color, exported it to Illustrator to do some touch-ups on the lines, then brought it back into Photoshop.
Bonus:
I did a doodle of Validus (an old Legion of Super-Heroes villain) on my tablet in a program called Sketchbook Pro.
Then, on a whim, I brought it into Photoshop and gave it some polish.
