I'm in Kansas.
Not actually in Kansas City, but rather Overland Park.
It's muggy and dreary.
We - myself, one of the NOC Managers, and the NOC Director - had lunch at a barbecue place.
It was okay.
The hotel, a Marriott, is pretty nice, but it's currently undergoing construction, so it's kind of like that commercial where the guy is too stupid to just yell out "Flip flops!" when the noise abates rather than starting over again each time.
Not sure what we're doing for dinner tonight, or if we're all just fending for ourselves. The actual meeting that we're here for doesn't start until tomorrow.
The flight in was uneventful, apart from the fact that I was stuck sitting next to some guy in his late teens/early twenties who smelled rather like sour milk, in the way that the less hygienic males of that age group tend to.
I was in the exit row, so I had plenty of leg room, though with the stubby little stumps that I have, leg room is seldom that much of an issue. Shoulder room, however, is always nice, but is seldom available outside of first class.
In any case, I've been up since 6 AM, so I think I'll take a bit of a nap.

For some reason the title of your post entered my head via the tune of John Lennon's "So This Is Christmas", which was an entertaining way to start out the morning.
If my memory serves me correct I think they have a melting pot in kansas city if the company is footing the bill do it.
Well, tonight dinner is on the company I'm here to meet with.
It's going to be at the same place we had lunch yesterday.
And I leave here around noon tomorrow, so no Melting Pot, I'm afraid.
