So apparently they weren’t inspecting every unit today. That would have been nice to know several hours ago.
I decided that I might as well venture out and do what I needed, hitting the comic book store first and working my way back.
I dropped off a list for their subscription service, so now I don’t have to worry about missing anything, and that should hopefully eliminate some of the confusion when I’m picking up Scott’s books.
Then I stopped at Best Buy, where I nearly bought one of these, but decided against it because it maxes out at 1080i. I want something like this so that I can watch videos on my computer’s hard drive on my TV rather than having to watch them at the computer, and while I only have a standard definition TV now, eventually I’ll go with high definition, and will buy one that does 1080p.
After that I was going to head to Super Target, but I realized that I could get what I needed from Giant, so I went there and then headed home.
(At Giant, someone was restocking the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. No AmeriCone Dream was in evidence.)
Oh, and I suppose I should post a picture of my new toy.

The buttons on either side are programmable. I haven’t messed with them too much, but some of their default functions are pretty useful. The much higher level of pressure sensitivity (compared to my old one) is nice, but the sheer size of it is taking some getting used to (I know: that’s what she said to both the pressure sensitivity and size.), as is the aspect ratio. I keep trying to position my stylus the way I would have on the old one, which throws things way off.(Yes, yes. I heard her say it, okay?)
In any case, I suppose I should spend what remains of my Wednesday fiddling around with the settings and new features.(And you’re wrong: that’s not what she said. She was about to say it, but decided against it because her grandmother was there and she was too embarrassed to do it.)
