Best Week Ever has a feature called "Simi-Lebrities" in which pictures of famous people are put side-by-side to compare, well, their similarities, ideally to humorous effect.
In reading Michelle's liveblogging of the Oscars - which is as close as I came to actually watching them - I found a real-life celeb who could have been separated at birth from a comic book celebrity.
Observe:
Years ago on the (poorly) made for TV movie Trial of the Incredible Hulk, Kingpin actually made an appearance as the villain. Sort of.
He was never referred to as The Kingpin, but rather by his actual name (Wilson Fisk) and was portrayed by actor John Rhys-Davies, who, rather than appearing as a bald Sumo-like mountain of flesh, simply had an evil goatee and wore those kind of sunglasses that old people wear over their actual glasses.
In the Daredevil movie of a few years back, Kingpin underwent a color change and was played by Michael Clark Duncan.
Anyway, I just felt this similarity needed to be pointed out. Jack certainly looks more like The Kingpin than he ever looked like The Joker.
On a totally unrelated note, my meeting for this morning was postponed until tomorrow afternoon, so I went out and did a bit of grocery shopping. The snow seems to be melting faster than it fell. It was actually melting as it fell yesterday. The only reason it actually accumulated was that so much was coming down for so long.
Still, though the roads were clear, kids were not in school and were therefore clogging up all of the aisles at the grocery store.
In any case, there's a picture I should be working on, so I guess I'll get back to that, though you I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to be posted here any time soon.
