Old Glory Meets Young Hotness

Here is the completed verstion of the picture I posted a "sneak preview" of last week.
The source material was the cover of GQ magazine from July of last year which listed, among other things, Jessica Simpson as (rather complelling) evidence of what a great country the USA is.
(Take note of the fact that in the following entry I refrained from making any lewd "flagpole" comments)

This relates to my post last week about about my ex-father-in-law ranting about the desecration of the flag, as he actually listed shirts and other pieces of clothing made out of the flag as being kinds of desecration.
All I can say is that if you see something like this as a desecration, I'm afraid I have to seriously question your patriotism.
"So okay, maybe turning a flag into a bikini and putting it on Jessica Simpson isn't a desecration," you might feel inclined to say to me, "but look at her hand: she's making a Peace sign like a dirty hippie, and everybody knows that peace is unpatriotic."
If that that's the case, I would say to you, "If you're looking at her hand, I've obviously failed as an artist."
...
In all honesty, I'm not feeling especially patriotic today anyway, as the IRS is claiming that I owe them almost $700 from my 2004 tax return.
The basis is for this claim is that I failed to report the income from the sale of some of the options of my company's stock that I have.
While it's true that I didn't report that income separately, it's also true, and the IRS should know this, that I didn't have to because it was included in my total wages on my W2, and I was appropriately taxed on it.
So now I have to find some kind of documentation to prove that to them.
Getting that letter didn't do much to improve what had already been a shitty mood, and said mood isn't improving now, either, so I think I'll bring this entry to an end.

She's making a peace sign? Oh, would you look at that, she is! Her hand was too far away from the, um, focus of the picture. Yeah, that's it.
