Checking in at the end of week

So the elections are over.
There's a lot I could say about how they turned out, and I probably should say it while I still have the right to say things that aren't officially approved by the GOP, but I have too much to do today and altogether too little time in which to do it.
If you've been checking out my novel blog, you've probably noticed that I only have one chapter posted.
I have actually done some more work on it, I just haven't gotten around to posting.
I still have no clue where the story is heading, but I am still working on it, so if you're interested, keep checking back periodically.
I believe it was Larry Niven who said that a writer's worst enemy is another writer, simply because time spent reading works by other writers is time that could be spent writing.
I'm finding that to be especially true this week, as I've been engaged in a lot of reading.
Of course, I've probably been doing it just to avoid doing writing of my own...
In any case, I should probably get back to doing either one or the other right now.
