Because If There's Anyone Who Needs More Suction In His Life...

My vacuum sucks.
Or, more accurately, it doesn’t suck.
It worked fine back in my condo, but the carpeting here in the house seems to have killed it. When it still didn’t need to be emptied even after multiple uses, it became clear that it just wasn’t working anymore. The big balls of carpet fibers that it flung all over the place also served as a clue.
So when I was at Target today looking at handheld vacuums that would at least allow me to vacuum the stairs and get the crumbs off the couch, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a Dyson.
While I have a lingering pet hair problem from the previous owner, I don’t have continuing pet hair problems, so I opted not to go for the bigger, more expensive pet hair model, and chose to get the slightly cheaper Dyson Ball.

It’s actually kind of cute.

It works much better than the old one – needing to be emptied multiple times – and so, I suppose, was worth the expense.
So that was my big excitement for the day, apart from getting a haircut and, once again, coloring my hair. Just because I’m going to be a year older doesn’t mean I have to look a year older, I guess.

All hail the power and the magic of the dyson.

Yes, you no longer have a vacuum, you now have a Dyson

And here I thought it was that I no longer have a vacuum, I have a really damned expensive vacuum.
Still, it's worth it, if for no other reason than that it makes me think of Dyson Spheres.

Which are unarguably one of the coolest scientific concepts out there.
